Welcome
My name is Maria Strohmayer, and I am the mother of four dearly beloved children. Our third daughter, Blair Elise, was delivered stillborn on June 12, 2020 at the gestational age of 32 weeks and 5 days. Our living children include identical twin daughters (born before Blair) and a fourth daughter (born after Blair). This website debuted on what would have been Blair’s due date and exists in her honor.
The purpose of this website is three-fold:
to break the taboo of writing about stillbirth through my blog. This space is where I share how I mother my children in life and in death, navigate the sibling grief that our living children experience, and give encouragement and tips for others on similar journeys.
building a platform for stillbirth resources including facts & figures, national and international organizations in support of emerging research and bereaved families, and blogs written by other mothers affected by stillbirth.
advocating for stillbirth research and improved prevention in honor of our daughter
The four flowers in this website’s logo represents our four children - three in our arms, one dearly missed, and all four dearly beloved.
Thank you for letting us share our family with yours.
- Maria
